Situated on Bidston Hill on the Wirral, the Tam O’Shanter historic cottage and free urban farm is run by a charitable trust with the aim of providing an enjoyable and educational experience for kids and adults alike
Tam O’Shanter Urban Farm is home to a variety of farm animals, including pigs, sheep, goats, chickens and geese. It’s a great opportunity for children of all ages to meet and learn about farm animals up close.
I will take the children to the farm linking to our topic. We will also meet with other children and their minders to socialise and enjoy the outdoors. Picnics will be taken on these days.

Is a short walk from my home with various routes to get there. The park was updated last year and the equipment is amazing. There are also lots of teaching opportunities including the alphabet and numbers marked out on the floor. The park is fenced and gated and inspected regularly.
Is situated in Eastham Village and a short walk from my home. It requires crossing a main road and children will be taught and encouraged to follow road safety rules. Once there the park is fenced and enclosed the children will be able to explore and enjoy the equipment which has been updated in 2014. Children will be shown how to use the equipment safely and encouraged to overcome fears. We will also play other games in this area. Like hide and seek the teddy.
